The Power of Culture - NeoGames

Meeting the people of NeoGames was a deep and thought provoking experience - one that surprised me both in my role as a corporate photographer and as a human being…

The Power of Culture - NeoGames

Corporate culture is often referenced in business literature, strategy consulting, people ops etc. as the organisational superpower - many companies talk the talk, but few walk the walk. It starts from the top.

The Power of Culture - NeoGames

Whilst there, I recognised the intentional investment made into creating a workplace that is equitable, flexible, diverse and actively encourages people to be their authentic selves.

Kitchens stocked with fresh fruit and vegetables, generous communal spaces, rooms designed for small team interaction or focused solo work - everywhere, employee centric thinking was evident.

Executive management exercise an open door policy, interacting with employees at every level, ensuring alignment towards common goals while having fun in the process.

The Power of Culture - NeoGames

From finance to game design, marketing to legal compliance, IT to HR, a common collaborative spirit and sense of purpose was palpable at every level of the organisation.

The Power of Culture - NeoGames

This was a unique assignment on many levels, in terms of scale, access and quality of interaction. I spent 2 days scouting and 4 days shooting. I set up an internal portrait studio and shot every member of the board, executive management, and directors. Another day was dedicated to all the additional employees who wanted their photo taken too (~60). I captured company events, team meetings and daily life at the company HQ, delivering over 2,400 images.

From Photography To Corporate Ethnography - Moving Beyond The Surface.

I was invited to create images that tell a story and communicate a brand image. I was privileged to be given real access, to build a deeper understanding of the company, through time spent working with various parts of the organisation.

I was trusted to capture what I saw, and to turn images into artefacts that together would create a rich visual mosaic of the people that make this company so special.

Back in the hands of the company, these will form the foundation for a rich, multi-layered narrative, elevating the organisation and serving its communication and business goals moving forward.
